Indigenous panelists will discuss challenges in Indigenous child health globally and highlight resilience and strength in indigenous solutions and programs. Components will include: 1) Policies and colonizing practices and the effects on Indigenous communities, families and mental, behavioral, social and emotional child development; 2) Principles of effective solutions in Indigenous child health, and indigenous strengths-based solutions to address suicide, substance use and other mental health inequities, and 3) a Maori cultural exchange.
