The foundations of high-quality health systems include the population and their health needs and expectations, governance of the health sector and partnerships across sectors, platforms for care delivery, workforce numbers and skills, and tools and resources, from medicines to data.  This session focuses on local solutions that are being employed including alternative care options, local political and physical infrastructure, local programs, innovative ideas, etc. that have been proven to help bridge health care gaps and achieve sustainable development goals (SDG), address social determinants of health (SDH) and improve global burden of disease (GBD).
